Rosa De Gregorio
Rosa obtained her MSc in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology in 2021 at the department of Pharmarcy from the University of Naples.
She has worked on synthesizing analgous steroid-like compounds to be assesed for their pharmacological effiacy in the treatment of NASH, a disease caused by the build-up of fat in the liver leading to inflammation and cirrhosis. Rosa has also worked on developing a small library of compounds similar to Mifepristone that can act as a LIFR inhibitors for the treatment of gastric cancers.
Rosa has joined the Baumann group in April 2023 to work on the continuous flow process developement of diazo fragmentations for the synthesis of disubstitued alkynes.

Miguel Maia
Miguel Maia obtained his MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2013 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto.
He has worked as a Stability and Validation Specialist in the pharmaceutical industry for five years and is currently a PhD student at CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research, Porto, Portugal). I
His research project focuses on the design and synthesis of novel compounds against Alzheimer’s disease.
He joined Baumann group in September 21 in order to apply the flow technology to his own research project.
Tilly Duffy
Tilly joined our group for 8 weeks during the Summer trimester 2021.
She focused her studies on the synthesis of indazole structures in both batch and flow mode.
