Antonella Ilenia Alfano
Antonella Ilenia Alfano graduated in 2018 in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at
Department of Pharmacy (University of Naples ‘Federico II’), where in 2019 she starts to pursue
her Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Science in the SPOTS-Lab. Her Ph.D project focused on the
development of greener and more sustainable synthesis of privileged scaffolds through the use of
continuous- flow techniques, with a special attention to (spiro)cyclic constrained compounds. She
also spent a 6-month period in the Noël Research Group in Amsterdam, where she applied flow
chemistry to photocatalysis. She starts her Post-Doc in Baumann research group in collaboration
with Almac Group, working on continuous flow biocatalysis.
